However, κύαμος could also be IE. and be derived from κυέω, s. Bq and Strömberg Pflanzennamen 51 (but there is no IE - αμ-). - Fur., following Kuiper l.c., remarks that κυαμ- \/ κυμ-ηχ\/κ- proves the Pre-Greek character of the word.
